How to Prepare Raw Seeds and Nuts

You should always soak your seeds and nuts overnight in salt water to make them more digestable and nutritious.  It will also bring out their delicious flavor.  Dehydrating them below 115 degrees F (see exception in video) will give them a better shelf life, yet they will maintain their raw state and can be sprouted.  You can prove this to yourself by sprouting some raw sunflower seeds after they have been soaked in salt water and dehydrated below 115 degrees F.  The seeds will still sprout!

Keep your dried seeds and nuts cool, dry and dark.  It’s especially important to keep walnuts refrigerated, because they have fragile oils that can quickly become rancid.
